The discussion of backpacking stoves is really quite basic. Stuff anyone should know. Very few of the pictures along the way are in any way connected to the information on the pages nearby. Just eye-candy. I took nothing away from the book at all. The recipes a| |Campfire cooking need not be limited to burgers, dogs and s'-mores. With a bit of advance work before heading out, it's easy to have great grub on the trail. (Associated Press 2007-06-07)
